Description
This yellow foam-bodied version of Dave’s Hopper offers a grasshopper imitation for trout feeding along grassy banks in summer and early fall. Drift it beside undercut edges and through pockets where terrestrials tumble into the current. For a hopper-dropper rig, suspend a small nymph below, choosing a weight the hopper can support. Sold by the dozen for seasonal fly shop assortments and guide boxes.
